Hi! I’m Ada Avitabile, and I’m running to be your next ANC commissioner in single member district 5E02. Thanks for following my campaign!
I live in Bloomingdale with my wife and our two cats, and I’m running to make our wonderful neighborhood cleaner and safer for all.
Though this is my first time seeking election, I have worked within the federal government for my entire career. I began my career working in climate research as a contractor at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. I eventually moved into federal policy consulting for the US Department of Energy, where I developed federal standards and test procedures governing appliance energy efficiency. These days, my day job is back as a federal contractor where I manage engineering tasks at NASA Goddard.
Living in Bloomindale, I’ve become accustomed to using 311 to make sure our alleys, streets, and sidewalks get the attention they deserve from DC government services, and I attend ANC meetings to make sure the unique needs of SMD 5E02 are addressed. I’m outspoken and do my best to make sure our blocks aren’t an afterthought.
I’m used to dealing with administrative roadblocks in my professional and personal life, and I’m quite patient and persistent when I need to be. If you want an ANC representative that knows how to move through the slog of beaurocracy, I’m your gal!
